No. We keep spare bases for this model. In the rare case the wooden base cracks, simply message us via your Amazon order with one photo. We will ship you a free replacement base. No return needed. No extra cost.

Still spins smoothly when full of books?

Yes. The pre-installed 12-inch turntable is oversized for heavy loads. Even fully loaded, rotation stays smooth.

Does it roll away on its own?

No. 2 of the 4 casters have brakes. Lock them and the shelf stays put. Unlock to move for cleaning or room rearranging.

Does it wobble when fully loaded?

No. The square base is wider than a round one, and the locking casters add stability. The center of gravity stays low even with heavy books.

Need extra tools for assembly?

No. All parts, tools, and instructions required to assemble the bookshelf are included. The swivel base is pre-installed.
